The wMobile product enables users to have live wireless access to a GoldMine based CRM system from their handheld device.
wMobile
contains full contact management features enabling a user to review
existing CRM information as well as to provide updates on the fly.
wMobile Overview
Product Demonstration Videos
- Supported devices include all Blackberry models, Treo 600, 650 and 700w, Pocket PC models such as Samsung i730. All major carriers are supported.
- wMobile is accessed through a firewall on ports 80 for HTTP and 443 if HTTPS / SSL is
implemented for secure traffic.
- wMobile is installed on a Windows 2003 or 2000 Server with IIS 6 or 5. Microsoft .NET
Framework 1.1 SP1 Device Update 4 will be installed to generate ASP.NET pages.
Microsoft MDAC 2.8 is required.
- wMobile installs a GoldMine licensing and login service on an existing GoldMine file
server.
- wMobile accesses data from the existing GoldMine SQL 2000 Database service.

and connected to any existing
GoldMine Corporate Edition
implementation.
Users may connect to the
application by adding a URL
shortcut to their device web
browser.
wMobile senses the users device
type and will deliver screens
optimized for this device.
wMobile allows fast lookup and review of contacts from
the GoldMine database.
Contacts can be edited and added to the GoldMine
database from the PDA device.
Changes made by the wMobile client is updated in real
time in the GoldMine database.
wMobile completely supports GoldMine security concepts
such as record ownership and curtaining.
wMobile users can quickly review their upcoming activities as
they exist in their GoldMine system.
New activities can be scheduled and completed activities can be
reported in real time where changes are immediately reflected
in the GoldMine environment.
The wMobile environment is flexible and can be extended to
support additional functionality and processes.
New screens may be added to wMobile to deliver information
from nonGoldMine
databases and to record business specific
transactions.

Users can access all contact information contained on a GoldMine
contact record including information in customized GoldMine
fields.
Users can add and edit contact information with updates instantly available on the live GoldMine database.

Users can search for companies and contacts using any portion of the company or contact name.
Searches can be limited by city and state to reduce the number of results from large databases.

Users can easily review todays or any days calls or appointments.
Users can schedule new activities and manage these activities either in wMobile or in their full GoldMine client. |

Users can complete activities in the field and enter full detail including notes about the completed activity.
Activities completed in wMobile are instantly available for managers and other users to review. |

Users
can enter and manage sales forecasts in wMobile. Forecasts
entered in wMobile are accessible to any sales forecast reports and
analysis perfomed in GoldMine.
wMobile supports all of GoldMine sales forecasting functionality. |

User
can enter and submit orders in the field using wMobile. Users can
specify multiple line items per order with product, qty, price and
order type. Each line item may contain special instructions.
Orders are visible in a customer tab in GoldMine for review and processing. |

wMobile supports connections using secure HTTP or HTTPS using SSL certificates. All
wMobile traffic is encrypted with the SSL certificate encryption key.
wMobile authenticates using the users normal GoldMine ® username and password.
Authentication gives access to utilize the wMobile application only. The wMobile web server
makes separate connections to the GoldMine database server to retrieve and update data in
the GoldMine database. User do not access the database directly.
wMobile supports GoldMine contacts record and user security. wMobile users can only work
with the same records they would have access to on the full GoldMine application. wMobile
supports GoldMine security concepts such as record ownership and curtaining for users and
groups.

Network Security Configuration
wMobile may require firewall configuration, VPN configuration or other methods to provide access from remote devices. wMobile will by default work over HTTP port 80 as a standard web application. wMobile supports DMZ configuration, HTTPS / SSL Encrypted connections, BlackBerry Enterprise Server and similar security tools.
Mobile Device Support
wMobile supports all devices that include an internet browser. Popular supported devices include all telephone operating systems by BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Palm, iPhone and Symbian.
PC Browser support.
wMobile supports all PC internet browsers including Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera for mobile accessing a full PC rather than a mobile phone.
