- Stonefield Query works with HEAT
versions 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, and
8.0.
All
custom tables and fields are available, and
appear with the descriptions assigned by the
HEAT administrator rather than the actual table
and field names.
Dates
are displayed as you expect them (actual dates),
rather than the way HEAT stores them (as
characters, such as "2000-01-19"). In other
report writers, you have to use complex
expressions to convert character dates to true
dates.

- A new report type, Chart Report, allows you to create charts and graphs of your data. You can even include charts in Quick and Cross-Tabulation reports.
- Stonefield Query now supports live links on reports. This allows you to create reports that drill down to other reports (for example, clicking on a customer name to show the sales for that customer) or automatically bring up someone's email address in your email program or Web site in your browser.
- Stonefield Query now keeps track of your subscription expiry date: the About dialog and License Manager both show the date. Stonefield Query reminds you when your subscription is due for renewal and prevents you from running a newer version of the program if your subscription has lapsed.
