What's new in QuoteWerks 4.0?

New "SQL" Edition and new QuoteWerks Edition lineup:

“Standard Edition”:

With QuoteWerks 4.0, the Standard Edition retains the same feature set as QuoteWerks 3.0



“Professional Edition”:

With the introduction of QuoteWerks version 4.0, the QuoteWerks 3.0 “PC Industry Edition” has undergone a name change to the “Professional Edition”. Along with this name change comes some new bundled features. The links to Ingram Micro and Tech Data offline price guides are still included and have been improved to display trees of product categories and manufacturers making for easier navigation.  In addition, the Professional Edition now links to QuickBooks and salesforce.com product lists, as well as any ODBC compliant product data source.  The Professional Edition will now also include the QuoteWerks QuickBooks, Peachtree and Open Export module links.



“Corporate Edition”:

With the introduction of QuoteWerks version 4.0, a new "Corporate Edition" will be offered.  The Corporate Edition will have the capability of storing all of its data in Microsoft SQL Server 7 or Microsoft SQL Server 2000 databases.  This contrasts to the Microsoft Access 2002/2003 database used by the Standard and Professional Editions of QuoteWerks 4.0.  Using the Microsoft SQL Server backend in the QuoteWerks 4.0 Corporate Edition, QuoteWerks has become scalable for use across the enterprise with solid performance and reliability regardless of database size or number of concurrent users.

New Pricing structure:

“Volume based pricing” When purchasing additional licenses, you now receive a volume based discount on how many licenses you currently have.  For example, if you have a 10-user Standard Edition and purchase 1 more license, the price will be $151 instead of $199 for that additional one license. Data Conversion:

All of your QuoteWerks 3.0 data will be imported into QuoteWerks 4.0 including your licensing information.  You will not need to re-enter License Keys or re-register License Keys etc.  A great deal of platform changes have been made in QuoteWerks 4.0 and as such, there are some upgrade conversion issues to be aware of. New Serialized Update Key:

Serialized update keys have replaced the old QuoteWerks 3.0 "update password" used to update/upgrade QuoteWerks.  If your maintenance is current you will still need to contact Aspire to get your serialized update key that replaces your QuoteWerks 3.0 update password.
