The Report Designer license allows the user to create new reports, edit existing reports, and run reports. The Report Viewer licenses allows users to run existing reports with report filter sorting and export changes but they cannot create new or edit reports.

The 'right to use' Report Viewer licenses means that as long as the customer keeps their software maintenance current for the Report Designer licenes in the future they will continue to receive the use of the Report Viewer licenses at no charge (including no software maintenance fees on the Report Viewer licenses). Report Viewer licenses can also be purchased seperately.
