GoldMine 6.7 and Internet Explorer 7.0 Compatibility

This is a technical update for all GoldMine users. Microsoft has just released Internet Explorer 7.0. FrontRange has determined this version of Internet Explorer can cause issues with GoldMine version 6.7.50123 and earlier. First Direct Corp. strongly recommends those users with GoldMine 6.7 should stay with Internet Explorer 6.0

Microsoft plans to include the upgrade to Internet Explorer as part of their automatic Windows Updates starting November 1st. First Direct Corp. recommends turning Automatic Updates off and installing Windows patches manually, bypassing the update to Internet Explorer. Microsoft has a web page explaining how to manage Automatic Updates.

FrontRange will be releasing a GoldMine patch for version 6.7 and 7.0 that addresses the Internet Explorer issue. First Direct Corp. will alert you as to when these patches will be available and provide recommendations on how best to install them. 

Note: These patches will be for GoldMine 6.7 and 7.0 only. Users running earlier versions of GoldMine will not have a patch available without upgrading first to GoldMine 6.7.

UPDATE:

First Direct Corp. is pleased to announce the release of GoldMine 6.70.61214 which offers full support with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7 and new localization settings allow users to use GoldMine in double-byte environments, such as Chinese, Korean or Japanese Windows. Please note that if you have GoldMine Corporate Edition version 7 or higher, then you are already compatable with IE 7.

The update can be obtained through NetUpdate if you are currently running any of the GoldMine 6.70 builds.
