When an email is sent to an email address with a bad address, the SMTP server mail administrator sends it back with the bad email address somewhere in the body of the message and because the "From" email address is the mail administrator and not the bad email address, GoldMine can't link it to the original contact.  

Usually that means visually looking for the email address in the body and then searching GoldMine for it.

With BounceLinker, there is no need to search for the bad email addresses in GoldMine.  BounceLinker can do it all for you!

Don't forget: This is not just an administrative headache in GoldMine. Continuing to send email blasts to large numbers of contacts can bring your company to your SMTP server's attention. You could become flagged as a spammer and actually sued by your provider!

With BounceLinker, there is no reason to send repeated emails to bad addresses and take that risk - clean it up instead and send smaller blasts with valid addresses.

The Engine and Bounce Contracts

BounceLinker Version is comprised of an Engine for processing and a Bounce Contract. As a standalone, the engine will not function. It must be accompanied by a contract for bounces that will allow processing of an unlimited number of bounces and never expires.

Licensing and Registration

BounceLinker is licensed for the GoldMine system that it will be working with. After ordering, you will be supplied with an Engine license number that will allow installation exclusively for the GoldMine license that was supplied with the order and a Bounce Contract license number that will allow processing of the number of bouncebacks included in the Bounce Contract. The license number will be valid for 7 days after it is supplied. If installation is not performed within 7 days, you will have to contact support for a new license number.

The BounceLinker Engine is a “server” license that must be installed with the central GoldMine installation. A BounceLinker Pro Edition “E” license is valid for any GoldMine "D" or “E” license. A BounceLinker Standard Edition “D” license will only be valid for a GoldMine “D” license.

Remote GoldMine users with “S” or “U” licenses may gain licensing for BounceLinker by undocking a BounceLinker license for each remote user.  A BounceLinker “U” will only be valid for a GoldMine “U” or “S” license.
