Important Announcement from FrontRange Solutions – for GoldMine Standard Edition Customers/Users

FrontRange Solutions announced April 2, 2007 that they are no longer selling GoldMine Standard Edition effective 4/30/2007. And, there will be no future releases/updates of GoldMine Standard Edition beyond 6.7. FrontRange will continue to support the product through 4/30/2008, and users can continue to use their current system indefinitely, however, GoldMine Standard Edition will NOT support Microsoft VISTA or MS Office 2007!

Current GoldMine Standard Edition users are being encouraged to upgrade to either GoldMine Corporate Edition or GoldMine Premium.

FrontRange Solutions is seeking to meet consumer needs with more modern database designs and functionality. In order to do so, they need to migrate away from the Standard, A.K.A., “dbase” version. Although costing more, these products still present an excellent competitive value. First Direct welcomes customers/users to move up to these new solutions and looks forward to supporting those who do!

I’m sure for many Standard Edition users this is a disappointment. It certainly is for First Direct Corp. too! We recognize that many organizations rely on their GoldMine Standard Edition system. And my firm values those businesses a great deal!

I want to emphasize that this action by FrontRange Solutions does not limit your rights to use your existing software! First Direct Corp. will continue to support GoldMine Standard Edition for the foreseeable future. And, GoldMine Standard Edition may serve your purposes for some time to come, and at some point, when you’re ready, you can upgrade to the new products.

By the same token, I do encourage businesses to upgrade to the new SQL editions of GoldMine. There are attractive discounts at this time to do so. There are also many desirable features that can produce substantial benefits well worth your investment.
